Exactly how much more hp? I've heard the claim that it makes more, but have never seen the sheets to prove it. Have you factored in the price difference between Guru and Vitesse chips?

Now keep this post simple. Anyone with 18psi chips experience alrighty?

I passed CA smog with Guru's 18psi chips. No problems, as you don't get into much increased fuel pressures at 2500-3000 rpm. Also got his MAP II kit. Will be installing his new turbo in a few weeks. I have the bigger injectors (55lbs) in his MAP II kit, which will run fine at 20psi with the new turbo. As long as you don't have any vacuum leaks, old O2 sensor, old cat, other issues, no SMOG problems.

I have the GURU MAP stage I with 18psi chips, significant power increase, however I need to see if tuning will stop my cold start/idle problems, and I also have a jerking when off the throttle. I think once I get the Link module and tune it, with a good intake pipe, it should run really well. Tim at Speedforce has some nice stuff. I would recommend doing MAF or MAP upgrade with the chips, because that makes more of a difference and is worth the extra $.

Burning Brakes
In the UK (once we had them - some experienced delays) we have had good experiences with the guru chips, they performed better than cars with custom chips (optimised for individual cars) here. We had a session with 20 or so cars together on the same day.
These were only 15psi I am upgrading to 18 soon.

Three Wheelin'
PK951, Not trying to start a flame war here but looking at the dyno charts that are posted on Vitesse's and Guu's web sight it appears to me that the Guru chip running 15PSI is putting out more horsepower than the Vittese chip at 15.5 PSI.

I'm running the Guru 18 psi chips with a 3 bar FPR, Accuboost, stock injectors, Guru rebuilt wastegate and Bursch testpipe. Peak HP at the rear wheels is 254HP, measured on a Clayton Eddy Current dyno. When the car was completely stock, it pulled 217HP peak at the rear wheels.
The type of dyno you use will influence the horsepower output figures. Just make sure you use the same dyno for all your testing.
Best Regards,
Greg W.

David,
I also noticed that the Guru 15psi chips made more RWHP then the Vitesse 15.5 chips as well.
Still no proof as to the Vitesse outputting more power than the Guru chips.

Take it easy guys when it comes down to comparing vendors
In any case, running 18psi would max the injectors at 5,500rpm (or so). Danno recommeneds not running that level (i THINK his 18psi chips have some kind of safety margin for this?)
