Question Need a PPI in Norcal... Please suggest a shop (Santa Rosa)

I live in LA but I'm thinking of buying a car located in Santa Rosa. I want the guy to do a PPI before I go up there. Can anyone point me to a shop up there that will do a good job in the area for a reasonable price? Thanks

I live in Santa Rosa. I have a '86 951. Is this the 951 that is for sale locally for $3,800? If I remember correctly it has about 175k but it had some work done to it recently. It is silver. I was going to take a look but I decided not to get involved. Figured I should fix the one I had before getting another one! Or, did you find another one? I might be able to swing by and take a look for you, but I leave for Chicago on Saturday morning. Be back Thursday. The local shops that are good in order and in my opinion:
1. Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley. Nearest dealer. They have treated me fairly in the past. They were the only ones who have been able to diagnose problems in my old 951. Their lead mechanic is a 944 specialist. About an hour south of Santa Rosa. 415-380-8000
2. Dejung Motorsports in Cotati. (10 min south) Steve Dejung is a great mechanic. He specializes in 911s but works on 944s to pay the bills. (His quote not mine.) He is honest and will give you the low-down on the condition of the car. Worked on my parents 911 SC for years. Was pissed off when I bought a 951. He thought I should have gotten a 911SC. 707-664-8002
3. Wolfgang's in Santa Rosa. Wolfgang was trained in Germany at the Mercedes factory. He is also an excellent mechanic and he personally owned a 944 for about 10 years. A nice guy also. Honest. Did much work on my parents SC and some work on my old 951. 707-571-0142
4. Tillman's. Has a good reputation but I thought they were kind of pricey. Haven't taken my car there much even though they are about a mile from my house. 707-546-3409

PM me if you'd like more info or if you'd like me to take a look.
Rob
