The only way I could fit the 305 & 335 is by going to a wide body setup. Prior to the widebody I was able to use 285/18 in the rear.

FWIW I've busted the regular caster blocks on both sides (could have been just due to their age though) and two passenger side front wheel bearings (first one could have been normal wear, second either bad installation or maybe wrong grease, silly me), running 18's + spacers on a lowered car.
Can't really say if it's because of the wheel size or some of the reasons mentioned above, but I suppose it's possible. I'll know more next year...

Wide picture for widebody.. The tires are 335 and they look narrow inside the fenders.. will take picture with the fenders off, the car looks like a drag car

John thats wild! Your car has got to be the fastest steemroller around!
I called" Wheel Enhancement" the other day to ask about wheels.
He recomended going with the BBS RS-GT because the cost was alot less
than for Kinesis or Fikse. And I like the looks.
I was told that with the 18" BBS I could put a 8" wheel up front and a 9.5 in back max. The biggest tires would be 225's up front and 265 in back.
This gives me no more rubber than I already have with my ClubSport 16's.
Do you have to order custom wheels with the correct offset to install wider
tires?
I'm interested in light, strong wheels and more rubber on the road. Looks
come second.

Tim, On stock body, I was using 18" Porsche Sport Classic II wheels (which are for sale ). I was using 245 & 285.. I think they are 8" and 10".. Another source for wheels which I use are the CCW, light, strong, and you can upgrade if you decide to go widebody.
Kesepton, Tires are over $300/each and they last just few weekends. The fenders are GT racing fenders, they were designed for the 924 body (Narrow).. It took many many hours to get them to fit on the 951.. I will never do it again!
