I wouldn't get another 86, especially an earliest of the early 86 unless it was in truly exceptional shape. This one does not seem outstanding in any way. Make sure you test drive a few before buying one.

so the 1 of six pearl white does not raise the price? interesting. If I had extra cash, i'd buy it just for the color.

One of five now; there's a thread on here about one that's in the junkyard down south somewhere (Georgia maybe?) Truly sad.

Doesn't look like people pay much of a premium for the color -- I bet it's hard to convince potential buyers that pearl white is different from other whites unless the buyer sees the difference in person. I'm sure some porsche-nut would buy it for the historical significance though....

These cars are fairly rare to begin with, considering that less than 13k of them were ever produced world wide, you can fit any car into a catagory.

There is another pearl white owned by a PCA member in the Baltimore region. He has the burgundy int also.
Can we account for all 6?
one is owned by a rennlister
another is owned by the balt. pca guy
another is in a junkyard
That leaves 3!

Keep in mind that there's also the possibility that one of these cars is a repaint -- but burgandy interior help support the claim.

So what documentation do we have that there was only 6 (aside from that's what we heard on Rennlist). Is it a fact or a Rennlist legend?
