194mph. That's with a 220mph calibrated speedo from North Hollywood Speedo Shop. Tried to take a pic but letting go with one hand that fast and clicking the camera, caught only 189mph.Tony and Todd from the list here can vouch for it after I gave them a ride. By the way, Hi all. It's been a while.

Hey guys! It's been a while I know. I haven't forgotten though. I still have the car. It's for sale. I deleted the 189 pic as I was going to do it again. Just haven't as I want to make sure the car is perfect for the new owner. I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance to download them.

Last year UK952 took some in car video of my speedo, a GPS and the autometer boost gauge on our way down to Le Mans. IIRC the GPS hit 154mph and the speedo was only slightly higher (maybe 157 - I was watching the road 
)
I was on well worn 2mm rear tyres, which I think makes the speedo more accurate. It will over read on new tyres

Regarding the speedo accuracy, its depends on your car (not all the same accuracy + tires + rims, etc...) and on the speed as the error is not linear...
On my white 1991 951 here are some true numbers :
200 kph on speedo = 186 kph real
180 kph on speedo = 166 kph real

Hi Diver, yes not bad, though I am not sure I caught the max, I was looking at the road - I will dig it out.

PS in my car on the way down the year before we hit 155 in my car on the GPS before a slow moving lorry spoilt the run this was just over 160 on the speedo.
and at 100 on the gps it shows 105 on the speedo.

The more I read, the more confused I get. How fast will these cars go??? This weekend I went 100 mph at 4000 rpm or .025 mph/rpm. Not allowing for further diameter increase from centrifugal force, I get 162.5 mph @ 6500 rpm. Am I right or did I miss something?
