Default Big 66mm / 2-5/8" gauge placement

I am entertaining the idea of getting a EBC, its the eboost from turbosmart. Problem its packaged in bigger gauge body, 66mm versus 52mm. I am wondering where I would mount it? Does anyone know if there is a gauge pod out there that will house a bigger gauge?
Thanks

What happened to the boost solenoid controlled by your Link 2?

Have you reconsidered?

Nothing, It works so so. Currently troubleshooting some setup parameters. Others have had good results. I just have always like the e-boost and and thinking of giving it a whirl.

Davinder,
Didn't you used to have a ProFec B (not Spec II) with your AFM MAP kit? If you did, how do think it compares to current Link controlled boost solenoid?

I'm looking into the Link 2 or possibly the TEC 3 setup for my 3.0 project. I have a Profec B and I'd like your opinion about using it with the Link 2 setup. I know that you've gone through a couple different boost controller set ups, so your input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Vic

I had a 2 5/8" gauge, and i couldnt find anywhere decent to mount it where it didnt get in the way. So i sold it on ebay, and bought a 2" VDO. I made my own panel for a 2" gauge and put it below the radio.

Try raising the RPM to 4,000 or just over Davinder... see how that goes.

2 5/8 huh? autometer makes both dash-mount and roll-bar mount pods in that size, i wrapped a bit of tape around my 60-ish mm Greddy boost gauge and it fits fine, 66 should be PERFECT.

dmoffitt, got any pics?.

Duke, I like your set up, is that just a universal 66mm pod you have there?

Vic, I used to have a Profec B spec II, I was trying to find a spec I at the time but never could find one. They are still very sought after. People swear by them and they are real simple. The Spec II wored really well but needed to be messed with now and again. I am going to make sure I dont have anything else going on with my current Link 2 closed loop set up and if I still can't get it to work like I want it, I will be looking for either the original Profec B spec or getting the new e-boost from Turbosmart. All the reviews to date (a real good one by Autospeed) make it sound like the dogs bollocks, as stable as the Profec B spec I and other high end units with a great user interface. If only they would package it in 1/4 din size or 52mm gauge size.....

Note that NZ951's Link closed loop boost works fine for him so right now I am thinking it may be my solenoid or some leaks in the piping to and from the wastegage / solenoid. I am pretty miffed as I paid well over $300 bucks for the solenoid alone.

Hey duke what did you pay for your PLX wideband with the readout after tax and everything?

Just curious.

There was a group by through MySwiss about 8-10 months ago. I think the total price was around $320.

BTW I like it very much and think its design makes it the most easily wbo2's to mount in a nice clean way.
