hehe, ok I fixed my post... 100-200. It was late .

I used VP MS103 unleaded fuel, rated at 103 octane (R+M/2). The turbo was a T04E 57 trim with the #8 hotside and stage 3 turbine. I've run 28psi on stock internals without any problems. The only upgrades I had at the time were the Raceware head studs, wide fire head gasket, and o-rings to keep that gasket in place.

And yes, timing, and fuel must be correct to ensure there's no detonation.

It really doesn't feel that fast. I think we get desensitized to the speed pretty easy haha.

True.

Higher octane fuels generally burn slower, and has less power during the burn. However, because the knock threshold is higher, you can increase boost/cylinder pressures, and easily make up for that lost power. Regardless of what fuel you use, if timing and air fuel is off, you're gonna detonate.

Good luck running 25psi on pump gas with our motors. You can probably do it with very little timing, but it would melt your spark plugs and exhaust valves pretty damn quick from the high EGT's! It's impossible to run 25psi reliably on pump gas. If it was that easy, all the manufacturers would be doing it.

Did you get it downloaded but won't play, or do you have problems with the url?
It's in MPEG-format straight from my Sony digital kamera.

how did you stoped the time? Did you looked at the speedo or RPM or something else more accurate?

I looked at the speedo. It was actually 60mph to 125mph (96km/h to 200km/h). Loaded the source high res video clip and did a frame by frame analysis. One of the better way to figure out acceleration times .

The video wouldn't download when I tried it before but, it worked for me last night so it's all good.

I am going to test my 60-120mph times myself and see where I stand.

8sec's sounds pretty insane. I think I will hope for 11 or so.

Get someone to take a video of the speedometer of the run. I'll run it through my video editing software and count exactly how many frames it takes. Make sure you go all the way to 125mph, and start in 2nd gear because there's a 2-3 shift and a 3-4 shift. I think starting in 3rd gear is a bit quicker because of 1 less shift, but none of us are doing it that way.

That will definately clear up the 300whp debate with your car!

Yeah but a 62-125 mph run will show if the dyno is working or not
