I have an 1986 Turbo and have noticed that the oil pressure seems to fluctuate quite lot. I suspect dodgy connections but not sure if it might be a sender unit. Basically on start up from cold it reads abouth 4 to 5 bar. Once warm and running at approx 2500rpm the pressure is about 4 bar, if I ease off the throotle a little the pressure goes up fractionally, if I hit a bump or series of bumps the guage will literally bounce between 2 and 5 bar quickly. I have taken the instrument binacle out and checked all connections, including pinching together slightly to ensure a better contact. Has anyone had this problem before or have suggestions ?

Have you checked the connections at the sending unit?
