Default Clutch and Voltmeter Question

Hey guys, I've noticed that my 1-2 shift has started to grind but only once in about 50-100 shifts. It seems to happen when i'm going from stop-sign to stop-sign in my area, never on the faster streets between lights. I've only had the car for 10k km's but this just seems to have started in the last few months. Som of the archives recommend Redline gear oil. Is there anything else I should check or adjust? The car supposedly had a new clutch with lightened flywheel and clutch at 92k km's. It's an '86 turbo with a rebuilt '89 engine.

Also, my voltmeter seems to drop suddenly when I either press on the brake pedal or hit the trip reset switch. I've already added a supplemental engine ground and cleaned most of the other ones but the grounds under the dash look fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help, this site is absolutely awesome for newbies like me.

The gear shift linkage may need to be adjusted and lubricated.

How are the grounds in the rear of the car? and the ones near the driver's side head light?

I've cleaned the grounds on both sides of the headlights and the ones at the rear of the car. Perhaps I'll check them all again.

Can I get to the shift linkage by putting the car on jacks? My shifter is very sloppy but I've read that it's common.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I had and still have a weird shift problem.

I removed the gear lever and found it to be good as new, but it's bushing was shot.

Replaced it, along with transmission fluid, still getting weird shifts.

The gear linkage needs to be adjusted and lubricated, it's on the top driver's side of the gear box, so you would have to lift it.
