Default fuel enrichment kit?

I'm still in the process of getting a set of authority chips for my 88 944 turbo. We can't find any chips that are set up for an 88 turbo, non S, that have a 28 pin DME and 24 pin KLR. I was told that if my car has a "fuel enrichment kit option", then I might be able to use the S chips.. I'm almost certain that my car is not an S. anyone have any ideas?

Do more research before settling on Autothority. Guru has a very good reputation on the boards and knows his stuff.

Authority has two chip set ups, one for 86~87 (?) and one for the 88+ including the turbo S

Same applies to vendors, you would find vendors such as Guru Racing and Vitesse to be most popular, and they can upgrade you chips at anytime for more boost/car setup in the future.

hosrom_951: if autothority has only two chip setups, could one assume that the chip set up for the 88+ and turbo S also work for an 88 turbo non "S"? I figured a chip made for the "S" wouldnt work with a non "S" car.
thanks

88+ cars anyway have the same power output (and possibly pins) as the turbo S.

But that is where similarities stop, there are differences in suspentions, transmissions, options etc.

Referring to chips, they are the same (i think).

There was a change from a 26-pin to 28-pin (?) some where in 88 onwards (?) not so sure on the dates.......

Just to be clear, the chips for the Turbo S are not the same as the chips for the non-S. The fuel requirements for the two cars are different because the Turbo S runs more boost and generates more hp in the upper rpm's. I've never heard of this "enrichment kit". It would be a mistake to install Turbo S chips in your non-S car.

From 88+ (turbo S and non-turbo S cars) have the same power/engine. But that is it.......right?

In 1988 there were both S and non-S Turbos sold, at least here in the U.S. The non-S Turbos had the same power as the earlier years. In '89 there was only one model, a Turbo S, except it was officially just called "Turbo".
