Three Wheelin'
I have a question concerning the EGT probe. Could this be installed in a hardpipe after the turbo and be used to monitor intake air temp. instead of EGT? I really don't need to measure EGT but I do want to measure intake air temp. to see if certain modifications make a noticeable difference and this way I would not have to buy a seperate temp sguage.

Eyal,
I took my test pipe to my local Midas, and they welded in the bung for free. Took them about 2 minutes, literally. I gave the welder $10 to be on his good side next time.

I would advise against vampire taps. My buddy had them on his MR2, installed by a "professional" shop.
As soon as I tried to do anything with the wiring harness, the wires split apart due to the vampire taps slicing all but one or two of the strands.
If you do have the urge, find PROPER sized vamipre taps. Dont try to half *** it and use taps for thin wire.

Eyal,
I jacked up the car, and marked the test pipe with a black felt pen where I wanted the bung. I pulled out the test pipe and took it to Midas, where the guy welded the bung in a couple minutes. I put it on the last bend in the test pipe so that the sensor sticks up into the well behind the starter.
