I have a stgII with fidanza flywheel. When I first got it installed I had no chatter, then some miles in it developed a lot of chatter and now the chatter is decreasing. I've no idea why the chatter appeared or has since decreased.

It seems that eveyrone has had chatter but at varying degrees My clutch works better when cold some one else said better when hot. We will have to put some miles on these things and then come back to the forum with our findings I have had mine for a while since last winter but like I stated in earlier post it seems that it is still wearing in

Not that you really want to invoke it, but the Spec does have a "performance" guarantee...

From the Lindsey web site: "All kits come with a 120 day warranty covering workmanship. Not only that, a 120 day warranty for "performance" What you say? Yes... If the clutch kit does not perform as needed, it will be replaced!"

I also have the Stage II, a lightened factory flywheel and have had no chatter problems. I did follow the very easy break in period that was recommended (500+ miles of easy city driving).

Well, I'm thrilled to hear such great stuff about Spec (sarcastic voice).....because I got a stage II installed and should hopefully have it back tomorrow. I'm going to follow Rob's way just like the instructions say and hope for the best. I am also having my factory FW lightened at the same time. Did any of you guys with problems follow the break-in procedure like it said to? Hows the pedal feel BTW? Stockish? Heavy? Guess I'll find out soon enough.

I'm no expert on the topic but I have experienced that if you have an oil leak at the back of the engine this can happen? If thats any help. It might be worth just checking one day?

I've put maybe 500 miles on my stg. 2 with a lighten factory FW. Chatters when cold, and in 1st and second when I let off the gas and don't shift, I can hear transmission noises. Maybe its the gears? It makes the noise off and on quickly and only in the upper rpms. When the engine is warm, there is no chatter but it still makes the grinding gear noise when I left off the gas. Maybe my trannys going out?
