Hi Tony,
O.K, right now I'm running a 928GTS fuel pump
with 75lbs injectors. With GURU chips, I have
set the FQS to position 7. Is there any advantage
or should I say any difference between running
a 3 bar over a standard FPR ?

Thanks

I have no idea what Dan has position 7 set to. Only he would know.

With the stock FP, and 75lbs injectors, you can easily support 425RWHP+

The advantage with lower fuel pressure is that you have more volume available from the pump against a given fuel line size/pump rating.

So yes there is an advantage.

But in any case... be prepared to verify operation against EGT/WideBand A/F Ratio. Those will tell the story..

I'd be looking at at least 1500F, no more than 1650F ( I don't like to go past 1600F).

A little OT Tony (and im so sorry for ALL these questions )

But i remember on your site when on the dyno the difference between BHP and RWHP.

I also recall someone (previously) one an old thread saying that you calculated 12% loss in Bhp to get the rwhp?

Basically, 400bhp would be equal to 352whp (with 12%loss in drive train) ?

If.. and if the drivetrain loss was at 12%, then 325WRHP would equal 369.318Bhp (crank HP)

325/.88 = 369.318

The answer with respect to having to replace the chips would depend on exactly what was wrong. "The chips do not perform optimally." is not good enough. What's the exact problem?

And.. .a piggy back will let you fix a lot of problems with chips that are not properly matched to your application. It will also allow you to richen up your fuel mixture as you modifiy yourcar in the future, which is a huge bonus.

Oringal chips had tons of stumbles and idle problems. they were replaced by guru 18psi chips,3 bar FPR, but I never got shims, so WG is stock.

My chips have a stumble in 50-74% accerleration, which is moderate in cooler weather. When I am at the scorching hot 95 degree track and running hard, it goes away.

If a piggy back is really worth the money because it will fine tune the car, i'll go that route. If not, then I'll see if Danno can take out the stumble or i'll get Vitesse AFM chips.

thanks for your advice.

TONY, EVER GET THE IDEA PEOPLE REALLY RESPECT YOU OPINION? If you don't get another screen name you will be bombarded with questions. THANKS MAN!

I ment max 420hp, not at the wheel. about between 350-370RWHP I think.
Does 55lbs hold for this setup? Or should I go for 72lbs siemens?

Doesn`t manage to decide what to buy. Either 52lbs bosch(believe bosch is bether than siemens, but the biggest lindsey sell is 52lbs from bosch), or 55 or 72lbs siemens.

DIN is a wheel HP rating used in Europe. SAE wheel HP rating used in the US. Both are a correction factor. DIN rates a little higher than SAE in general.

55lbs injectors should get you to 350RWHP and a little above w/o having to raise the fuel pressure.

If it were me... I'd go with the larger 72lbs Siemens injectors if I intended to hit 375RWHP. If I only intended 350RWHP, I'de use the 55 Siemens. Both are sold by Lindsey Racing.
