Default What's it called?

Hey,

I'm in the process of fixing my turbo's cooling problem.
I came accross this piece that looks like a radiator, and is located right in front of the radiator. It has 2 lines coming into it, 1 goes to the a/c compressor, and the seconds goes to the freon canister. I tried to loosen the line coming from this piece to the freon canister, but air hissed out, so that line is under pressure.
What is the name of that piece, it's located under the intercooler, and in front of the radiator.

How much do they go for (used/new)?

Thanks.

That's your A/C condensor and don't let the refridegerant out...or you'll have to re-oil and recharge the A/C system.

I think you might be talking about the AC condensor. I don't think anything else would have pressurized air.

What's the best way to get all the rocks/all other **** from the road out of it. Mine is clogged REALLY bad, I'm a lazy person, and if the car didn't need it done, I wouldn't do it. So, if I can't remove those lines I suppouse I have to clean it while its still mounted to the car. Any solvents/cleaners you guys recommend to get the job done right.

Thanks.

not sure about solvents, but make sure you blast it from the back and not the side that normally faces the slipstream. Is your car converted to R-134 or is it still R12. If its R-134, just evacuate the system and remove the condensor... if its still R-12 and has a charge then pray it doesn't leak out... its something like 75 bucks a pound.

Yup, that's why I filled the system with freeze 12 the other week (it's a 134/12 mixture). So I don't want that to go to waste.

Maybe I should use compressed air to clean it, I don't know...

Get in there with a pressure washer or by hand with a screwdriver and pop the rocks out and straighten the fins.

Use this radiator/condensor fin cleaner, which can be purchased from ACkits.com or probably from thetoolwarehouse.net:

Woah, I did exactly what you said Karl.
I went through each of those million fins with a tiny flat tip screwdriver, then I used my pressure washer on the "gentle" spray so I wouldnt bend the fins, then I finished with a high pressure blast of compressed air. It worked fine.
