Hi Guys,
How can one check if the thermo is working alright
& is the oil filtered before it enters the oil cooler ?

An oil temperature gauge at the cooler would probably be your best bet. I imagine you would see a large jump in temps all of a sudden when the thermo opens up. A hand on the oil cooler would also do the trick I imagine..

It seems like you answered your 2nd question on your own in the other thread, but no oil is filtered after it enters the cooler.
