just to add my take to this, i've owned a 951 for 6 years so i've seen many tuner websites. very few of them tend to be pretty compared to conventional websites (some tuners don't even have a web presence). however very few people tend to buy serious hp upgrade products just by looking at the website, they typically want to contact the tuner and ask questions. when it comes to handling customer questions vitesse is A-1, john goes out of his way to provide information. imho the website is a non issue.

I know what you are saying, but we are now in a global village and credibilty goes a long way when you are thousands of miles away from a supplier. The web is the shop window. I don't know what Huntley's web site was like but they had quite a good reputation but are no longer around to support their products. For those of us outside the US it is an issue I can asure you.
This was meant to be constructive comment for John. Lets face it it does not cost much to develop a full e-commerce presence these days.
And perception is 9/10ths of first impressions. Remember not everybody who is looking to tune a porsche is a member of Rennbay and therefore does not have the benefit of being able to bounce ideas off other owners.
As I said John's products Rock and his aftersales goes beyond the call of duty. Therefore he could be missing sales opportunities which is a shame as there are loads of "bandits" out there who will take peoples money on false promises that they cannot back up. People like John deserve to do well.
Well there is my 10cents worth!

You don't need the 60-1 to make 400rwhp. If 400rwhp is your maximum hp target, you can go with a smaller turbo which will achieve your goals AND give you more power down low. The 60-1, IMO, is too big a turbo for 2.5L cars aiming for that power range.

T04E 50, 54, 57, and 60 trim compressors are all big enough to support 400whp. The 46 trim MIGHT be able to do it as well, it'd be cutting it close.

I'll dare to agree with you Tom. You're not saying anything other than perhaps Vitesse could benefit from a re-do of their website.

What are the specs on the 60-1? What turbine housing and wheel? Got any pics?

I have a 57 trim T04E and a 60 trim T04E (currently in car) both with the #8 housing and stage 3 wheel if you're interested in swapping .

what kind of boost do you think a T04E-60 / #8 would have to run a stock motor to get close to 400 rwhp?? Its got yo be hellishly high, like 25psi or so with 72# injectors right?

Not in a million years will you get a K27 to make 400RWHP on a 2.5. it's not going to happen without spending another 15K on the motor. At 18 psi they generally make about 315 with the usual bolt'ons. Maybe a K29 would get you there but at what cost to the low end and how high do you want to spin that motor?

I'm going to chime in and say that the TO4E from Vitesse will get you where you need to be and it bolts right up and performs as advertises.

I agree, Vitesse needs to redo his web site. I've been telling him that for over a year now. John's outlook on it is that his product performs so he doesn't have to sell you with all of the glitter of a fancy web page.

I agree, you would think software is my thing, website needs a redesign.. But what's more fun: Website or a 2.8l engine?

I'm hoping to refresh the website in the next few days. Will have to add dyno chart for the AFM chips, and the new 911 MAF kit. Of course few more items are now available. Did I mention that I'm working on a Stage 3 turbo, with good spoolup characteristics?

Will be dynoing/tuning a Stage 4 kit on a 2.8L big bore next weekend, so hopefully I'll get to add the dyno charts as well.

I have a k27 with a 2.5l and some lots of head work, cam, with 52lb injectors which i think are too small for my application, stock muffler, 2.5inch test pipe, stock intercooler pipes 372hp with 20psi. and it makes power all the through 7000rpm.

Well you would need MAP/MAF, Injectors, Wastegate, and the usual stuff to help gain these numbers (dont' expects more than ~50-hp MAX by JUST replacing a turbocharger)

Danno showed me a dyno run of one of his customer's car running on a K27/8 and the usual upgardes, showed 397whp (nearly 400 ) at 20psi.
