Unhappy Know anyone that would put my motor in for a great price in Chicago?

I'm getting a bit tired of waiting for my car to get done. The motor is complete cam tower to oil pan. Turbo is on it and a new clutch (which I have) needs to be installed. I'm getting quotes anywhere from $1500 to $2000 to install it. Does anybody know someone who could do it for less than that in Chicago? What's a fair price to have it installed?

clubracer, give me a call on my cell phone tomorrow 214-783-4444. If you have a place to work we can do it together, I have installed a few, once or twice We can do it far less.

Fischer Motors is a great place. They are a little more expensive so I guess that doesnt help much. I think they are located in Barrington.

I would second Michelle's recommendation regarding Euroquipe. Brad and Tim are really great guys and really know what they are doing. Give them a call,

Peter

Thanks Matt - I might give you a call. How long would you expect the job to take? The only problem I have is a place to do it. I'm not sure my buddy would let me use his shop. Time is another issue for me.

I called Euroquip and he is going to get back to me about it.

We'll see - I just want to start driving this thing. 3 weeks of driving it since I bought it last January is just killing me!

Installing takes about 3 hours. Putting the rest of the wiring back together can take considerably longer. Let us know how much Euroquip wants to do it please.

$1750... Not sure what I'm going to do at the moment. I have a 10 hour enduro race to get ready for in two weeks at Gingerman.... I'll do something right after that one way or the other. It would be great to do it myself with some help. With these cars, the more you learn about them the better off you'll be if you plan on keeping them a while...
