I know it has a different offset from 87-91 models but what other Porsche rims can I fit to the car with or without spacers? I'd really like to drop the phone dials and update the look with some 17" from newer Boxster's or 911's.

If you buy an 86 951 you have not left youself with many factory wheel choices (with out spacers)

951 Fuchs (911 Fuchs will not clear the brakes)

Now that said with spacers you can make just about any late offset porsche wheel fit

and Tire Rack has some cheaper replicas for turbo twist and Cup I without spacers. You can always get a custom set from Kinesis, Fiske, CCW, BBS.

With spacers you can pretty much run any of the late offset OEM wheels - I am running 17" turbo cups on my 86 951 -
