Default "Usual/Common" price on K26/6 rebuilding?

I emailed a local company that does turbo rebuilds about an estimate on rebuilding a K26/6. They came back with about $600CDN, *assuming* the housing and wheels are ok. That is about $450USD.

Does this sound like the going rate?

Yeah, that's about what I was quoted. I beleive it was around $550 US, $750 to convert to a K27/6 and $1200 for a garrett hybrid with ball bearing option.

Ok at least theyre not way off base. I was hoping it would be fairly cheap to rebuild it and maybe do a few performance mods on it, but ill just save those pennies for a better turbocharger.

Basic rebuild I wouldn't pay more than $350.
