Hello all,
I'm looking for a good car cover for my '86 944 Turbo. I don't want some one size fits all piece of crap. I want one that's really nice, made just for this car. Anybody got one, or a picture of one, or know where I can get one?
Thanks

I have the performance products one. Fits really really nicely, has a lock and is very soft on the paint. I like it, and would recommend it. I didnt buy it though, came with the car, so I am not sure how much it is new. Hope this helps

A lot depends on how it will get used - in garage, outside while at work, outside 24-7.
My car, now, sits outside all the time (don't get me started), and I've gone through 3 I think in the 6+ years I've it. First two were "all-weather" ones (can't remember name of fabric) but were sorta flannel-ish feeling. They worked good, but would saturate with water and take a long time to dry out. As a result, they dry-rotted in < 2 years. Right now, I've got the Porsche cover (used that $100 PCA gift certificate) and it seems to be holding up very well. It's not as soft as the other and wouldn't really protect you from door dings, but unless your car is concours-ready, I don't think it will matter. I don't park next to anyone any way. It dries out much faster and doesn't really absorb water.

the weathershield fabric feels sorta like the parachute stuff and water just runs right off it. i even tested it, i poured a bunch of water on it, it ran right off, and not a single drop of water stayed on and no wet spots.

I bought the 100% brushed cotton cover from Performance Products for my '86. Really for indoor use mostly/occasional outdoor use. It fits perfectly and completely covers the car. Since my car is red I ordered it in red and it really looks cool. They also make it in a grey that would match your car better.

I just hope it will fit over the air splitter and teardrop mirrors.
