This doesn't happen everyday, it just happens out of the blue. I was driving out of the supermarket, I put the car in first, drive off, put in second and I'm just cruising down a small hill with my foot on the clutch. So I see the exclamation light turned on with the rest of the lights on. I look at the tach and its a 0, and the car is off
. So I slip it back in first, pop the clutch, and bam the car turns back on and its running fine.
What do you guys think is causing this out of nowhere problem?

what kind of mods does it have?
On my car i was curising up a hill then all of a sudden it dies out. Comes to find out the kid had the arc-2 powered by the stereo so when the stereo fuse blew so did the fuel. I rewired everything so wires don't touch

I had the exact same problem, took me forever to find. It was a big crack in the back of the hose that runs from the intercooler to the turbo. Would be worse on hot days, as i think the hose would expand a little and create a huge vacuum leak.

Well I was in second as I was about to roll down the hill so I just kept my foot on the clutch to roll down the hill, I saw the car stalled as I was rolling so I dropped it back into first and popped the clutch.
I really wish I knew what was going on.

Check the MAF to turbo intake hose to make sure it hasn't come loose and is creating an alternateair flow path. Also, make sure you are not running too rich at idle as that can cause a drop when you let off the gas past the point the idle stabilizer can catch it. If it happens when you have the rpm say at 3000 or so and then just release the throttle with the clutch in look for overly rich at idle and a possible vacumn leak.

I had a Vac leak on the brake booster line that caused the car to stall sometimes in the same way (usually as I pulled into the parking garage at work with the boss in a car behind me!)
