Will 225/45/17s fit on the 1987 944 Turbo without a fender roll?

Yeah, depends upon the offset of your wheels though. I can squeeze 315/35-17 and 275/40-17 tyres on 17x10.5/11.5" wheels, but that does require folding over the fender lip and grinding (not just rolling 45-degrees).
