Lived in Oroville for a couple of years - been about 20 years ago now.

Dad still lives there. Let me know if you need something.

If you are in the 951, take Hwy 32 up to Lake Almanor and back. Really a great fun road with good views of Mt. Lassen and the cooler temps up there. A trip Sierra Nevada Brewery is a must, without the car of course. I'll be up in Oroville tomorrow inspecting dams, hope it cools off.

Sorry, I'm heading up that way next weekend. I did go to school @ Chico and my favorite road in the area is Hwy 45 west from Red Bluff. At the entrance to the road there is a sign that says, "curvy roads next 145 miles." There is a gas station right at the entrance of the road. At the time, I had my GTI 16v and I'd fill up and drive in for half a tank and then turn around. My first time there I saw a Testarossa and a 930 racing each other. I heard at one point it made Car & Driver's top 10 driving roads in America.

Thanks for all the replys. I have only seen a few 944's in town in all the time I've been around this town. I've only been down here with my 951 once. I didn't have time then to take advantage of many of the good drives here. In the past I have enjoyed the Feather River drive, Hwy 32 N of Forest Ranch, and 299 W. out of Redding.
GMSRACING - I don't know of Hwy 45 out of Red Bluff. I'm thinking of retiring down here and will make it a passion to find all of the good drives.
2Tight- I have been watching the lines on northern Calif. get togethers. I will make the connection sometime. I think I will be back around the last week of Dec. I have a life long friend in Lincoln, Ca. just a few miles from Sac.
Jay- I usually only get over that way when we go fishing at the lake. Thanks for the offer.
