I think she paid $250 per wheel x 4 - $1000 plus $700 for the tyres.

If you are buying used wheels off anyone, do yourself a favour and make sure they are not bent at all. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

That's it. It was actually a little more than $1000 for the rims, but you get the idea.

I'm very interested in getting a set just like that. I wonder what I can sell the ones I have now for.

I have the stardard 16'' phone dial rims, in pretty good condition.

4 Kumo Tires (205's, 225's) with about 20,000 miles on them
and
4 Blizzacs Tires (205's, 225's) with about 5,000 miles on them.

Where to sell, how much to ask, anybody want?

My father used to have an 86 Turbo.

On his stock Fuchs he ran 225/50 front and 245/45 rear. These were on 16x7's and 8's. No rubbing and no need for fender rolling.

These are also the stock tire size for the 944 Turbo S.

Only go with 255 if you are using 17's. Even I don't think there are 17" tires with 245 width that have the right side wall. I think a 255 is as close as you can get to stock diameter.

Yeah, a 255/40-17 is the exact diameter to match the stock tyres. This would work great on a 17x9-10" wheel. If you go wider than stock, it's advisable to increase the offset to place most of the extra width on the inside of the rim. This is what Porsche did in going from the Turbo to TurboS.
