Question R '86 and '88 951 calipers the same?

anybody know if the '86 and '88 951 brake calipers are the same for non-M030 option cars? I have a complete set of calipers from a '86 car that I am looking to rebuild and install on my '88 (don't want to have my '88 out of service while I rebuilt the brakes) - BUT if they are not the same - then I have a complete set of '86 951 calipers for sale!!

thanks
tom

They'll fit fine. The '86 calipers have a slightly larger/smaller leading/trailing piston. I forget which it is but it's not significant. The change was made in later cars to even out pad wear.
