Default Axxis Ultimate pads

Has anyone used Axxis Ultimate pads at the track ( preferably black +/- run group)? How have they been with heavy braking?

Thanks

PD

Might consider Hawk HP+. The Axis is more of a street pad. In E36M3's, they have been near useless when tracked.

BTW, Vertex sells them for about $70 or less. Quite a bargain, but they are kinda noisy and dusty.

I bought them 2 years ago for the track based on representations from some. I agree, useless at the track. they are on my car for the street. Go with Hawk 9012 blues for the track. Best price at Vertex. I will be ordering front blues this week.

Alpine, are you sure it was the Axxis Ultimate pad you were using or the Metalmaster. The Ultimate is a ceramic based pad that is pretty new to the market.

Jason, the Axxis Ultimates have been available for the M3's for at least 3 years or so IIRC. The Cobalts and Ferodos are a little newer.

Eclou, I'm sure that's true...and perhaps BMW is a more popular application, but we've only been able to source them for Porsche applications in the last year. I'm certainly not discounting what the gentleman said...just curious if we're actually talking about the Ultimate pads.
