Default 931 vents

Hey,

I put these on with blue tac to get the vibe of putting them on, I had it planned a month ago but a 2K bill put it back, now I want to gauge opinion. Sorry about the poor pic, its off my phone, but you get the idea.

NZ. I think they look great. I have been thinking about this mod or alternatively putting some vents in the hood above the turbo and exhaust (either side of the hood's supporting rib). I just don't know whether the problem is getting the air in towards the intercooler or getting it out from the other end. I don't know enough about aerodynamics to know which is better. Maybe you should consider exit vents with the greater inflow. Both combined would probably be the best. Your vents look great and the spacing is good. Good luck

Exiting the hot air is better that raming more cold in, like the EVO bonets, but I dont want it that bad! Currently there is really nothing going in, so this is something. Plus I like the looks.

Its probably harder to cut four vents without totaly distorting the panel.

Four vents still look better than two.

There is a supporting metal bracket that runs along the underside of it, I will have to cut setions of it out to make the vents effective. I will probably get a panel shop to do it and respray the panel obviously. It will cost a couple of hundred though.

There was a 951 with those 931 style vents at the DE/track day recently. Absolute drool factor! Yes, do it.

My dream look:

GT or AIR splitter
931 vents
968 mirrors
968 rear wing

that will be the choice 951 exterior

who will be first?

Canyon balster....

I ahve two of the three....

I have the air splitter and 968 mirrors.

I put the 968 mirrors on back about 1998.

I took the air splitter off about then. It looks great. But that 1.5 inches of ground clearance sucks on the street. I cannot get into my driveway with the splitter on.

I will do some ducting soon.

You can buy them cheap from PartsHeaven. They claim to 'always' have them in stock.
