Peckster - I'm not sure that I'd argue against combustion chamber, but running all that oil through the turbo and intercooler can't be doing much for efficiency - turbo has to plow through viscous liquid and intercooler gets coated on the inside, likely bringing down the heat transfer efficiency. That'd be my take on it. Besides, if you're worried about lubrication of the top end, dump some Marvel oil in the tank for fun and keep it out of the turbo.

oil in the combustion chamber isn't horrible, but you will see better results without it...

Yeah, I think the heat exchange argument may hold water. But you'd have to clean out the old oil to see any real benefit there.

I'm with Peckster on this one. In my car, the major oil-contributor in the intake was the worn-out turbo-seals. Whenever I floored it at night, I could see a cloud of smoke in the headlights of the car behind me. It got to the point were it was consuming 1-quart of oil per 1000 miles (Porsche claims 1-quart per 620 miles is acceptable).

After I replaced the turbo, oil-consumption went down to less than 1/2-quart per 5000 miles. Think about this, how much air are you consuming in 5000 miles, then mix in 1/2-quart of oil in that volume. I bet you're getting more air in your combustion chambers just from the rings scrapping against the cylinders.

Now... IF you have serious enough blow-by pressure to force air and oil out your crankcase vent such that it's beyond the stock air-oil separator ability to remove it, you've got some other problems. Adding an additional air-oil separator is only fixing the symptoms, not the real problem itself (worn rings).

Im still in , Obviously my shipping will be a bit higher
I am not happy with the standard venting arrangement, my breather tube was full of crud last time I removed it (scale/ rust / carbon) that could of gone straight into the turbo.

Thomas,

I think this GB may have been a everyone contact the seller instead of on person taking the cash and then redistributing the goods after a single purchase... just a thought. Thats how I did the 968 handle GB I set up, made it easier for me, put the work load on the seller...
