Default Want feedback on this dyno run

Managed to pass by a local dyno for a few pulls on the way home from work. Car is modded as per sig. Not too impressed but it needs some work on the AFR. Did not have a chance to log on the link 2 as I didn't have my laptop.

Anyway, temp was ~100 deg F in the dyno shop, and they used a very lame fan on the intercooler. All they had was a small portable one, the big ones were not used for some reason. Car was pretty much brought straight in after sitting in traffic.

It is still breathing through the stock airbox and cold air snorkel. It is of course modified to take a 3" pipe for the J-pipe between the turbo and airbox, but the top part and air snorkel are stock so its basically breathing through that painfully small neck on the snorkel. I am hoping this, the temperature and AFR are killing my power as I expected way more. Running 18psi on 93 oct. The dyno op reckoned the fan and temp were worth about 15 rwhp and the AFR maybe a bit more so I reckon a good target would be about 330rwhp.

I did like the shape of the torque curve though, the car drives great, feels very fast, pulls all the way to the redline. Appreciate some feedback.
Thanks

I expected more power??? It is obviously a little fat in the higher RPM. Does not seem to influence power much though? Whats your spool like?

Yeah
so did I mate. The car always felt fast as **** so I never really been too converend that was not making the power it should. I still think I need to eliminate the stock airbox variable, retune and go back and see. I was hoping for arounf 330 rwhp with the turbo I have. Timing is holding 18 up to 23 at red line at full boost with no percievable knock. I wonder if the stock IC pipes are choking me down a bit?? Anyway, like I said, it drives great so I ain't gonna sweat it too much.
Hey Andrew, have you go a dyno chart I can look at for comparison?
Cheers.

I am going in for a dyno run once I have my IC pipes and this fluttering sorted. Did you get the PCL?

B951S..we ahve similar setups..you should be seeing about 330 rwhp at 16 psi at 18 you should see 360 ..with race gas mixture of 96 octane I got 372 and that was ...well read below....I think after retuning you will get those numbers.....the torque line is nice.... good turbo heh!!

You timing seems aggressive enough at 18 degrees, maybe there is some in leaning it out a little. I sent it to your other address 15mins ago...

What's the boost curve look like? That has a great impact on HP figures.

You are running 55 Siemens injectors, and a 3bar FPR, plus you got the stage II kit from Vitesse. 18psi? are these chips? You shouldn't be running rich as the RPM got heigher (that shows that you have enough fuel) but how much boost were your running at the dyno? 18 as well? i do not think that you should be running rich, but then again, you mentioned not being able to fine tune it with the Link........you ought to be hitting well over 300whp. So you goal of 330 would be do-able after fine tuning.

You dont have chips with the link, it replaces the DME and KLR units totally.

The turbo is very sweet indeed. Comes on with a nice slap in the back...just need to find those lost horses bro...

Danno, running a nice flat 18 psi using the tial and MBC, holds it to within a psi or so to the redline. Next time I will data log so I can look at the dyno curve along with the pressure plot.

My opinion is you definitely need to get rid of the stock air box to let the turbo breath better. Do you see your car going rich like that on the street?

Thanks for posting the Dyno chart, hopefully once you get it sorted it will be around 330RWHP as thats what i'm hoping for with a similar setup to yours.

Tom
That raises a good point. One thing I noticed was that the PLX wideband in the car read richer than the dyno by a little. Again, no datalogging during pulls so its hard to say by how much but I will take it back and this time data log when making pulls. I want to upgrade the intercooler, and intake first.

One question, should I be aiming for a 12.5 as soon as max boost hits or taper from a leaner AFR like 13.5 at max boost low rpm to 12.5 at max boost max rpm.

Good questions Davinder, I worked from 13:1 at 5psi, 12.5:1 at 10psi, 12:1 at 15psi and above
