Default probable locations for oil leaks? Help

I am afraid I may have an oil pan gasket that is leaking but thought I would pick your brains a little on other locations that may seep oil on the underside of the engine.

I just had the timing and balance shaft belts and rollers done, could the rollers be seeping oil? I hate to think about the pan being the culpret and am looking for hope that it may be somewhere else.

I degreased the underside today, and will take another look at it later after it drys out.

Thanks for your insight.

Rear camhousing gasket
dipstick o-ring at oil pan
oil/air separator o-rings

are all locations to check for oil leaks

I am in the same boat as you (check previous posts). Oil pan is wet, but it is not dripping, and LOOKS like it is only one side of the pan, so i am suspecting the oil dipstick tube o-ring on the top of the pan.

The rear plugs for the balance shafts also tend to leak. You can tell if the o-ring inside needs replacing by pushing gently back and forth on the rear plug. If you can move it a lot or it hits metal/feels loose, then its probably leaking.

front cam seal as well. oil cooler. front crank seal.

idiot PO of my car never flushed the coolant. crap built up in the oil cooler housing on the side of the motor, and literally pushed it off the motor until it was spewing oil. glad i knew about that when i bought the car!
