TPS and MAF testing
Hey all,
Is there a standard proceedure for testing the parameters of the air box and the TPS on the turbos from 86? Anybody know if they are different from the early 928s?
Any websites?
Thanks,

I believe they use a different voltage output than the early 928. Read some of the stuff on the MAF conversion for that twin turbo 928.
As for testing the 951 AFM, I have some notes from reading this forum:
Find the AFM voltage on the Green wire / yellow stripe at the DME, the Brown/Yellow is the ground.
idle should be 0.79-0.89 volts
45mph in 3rd gear steady-speed: 2.0-2.1 volts
You can carefully check the TPS with a DMM, looking for strangeness in the resistance or open spots. Pay particular attention to the throttle setting where you cruise and just off-idle.
