Default Exhaust Electronic Cutout

I was curious if anyone has tried installing a cutout of any sort right after their downpipe (or anywhere else for that matter)? Seems like the perfect solution for a street/track car for a zero restriction on the turbo...and maybe I'd be able to hear my car at the track for once.

Ideas? Opinions? Experience?

JC Whitney sells them. At least manual ones... I think the late 911's have electrnic ones as options.

I had one on a car before

3" downpipe then cut out (which was like a Y) with one side being 3" (the good part ) then the 2.5" (stock)..it leaked a bit...but whatever...the new car I'm going full 3"
