Default Clutch Pedal to the floor

Well I finally got my GURU chip package installed and all I can say is where did this car come from..........it's a freakin beast and I love it.

But now I have an issue with my hydraulics somewhere, The PO changed the clutch master and slave cylinder. The clutch is new and works fine , the clutch pedal goes right to the floor first thing in the morning after pumping it up by hand or foot it goes and stays after a few miles. So far there is no leaks anywhere.

Any ideas
Norm

When he changed it, did he bleed the system?

Also, it sounds like its either the clutch master or slave cylinder, I forgot the difference of the problem between the two.

Hi NormD,
Must be the slave cylinder. Change
mine recently. Same symptom like
yours. If it's been replaced I'm sure
that theres still air in the system.
Have it bled again. Park the car on a
slope with the back tilting upwards.

The slave and clutch master were both changed in 2002. I will try and bleed the system again

Thanks

Do yourself a favor..............build(or buy) a pressure bleeder, it will make clutch bleeding a 15 minute job.

Mine did this recently as well, in my case it was the clutch master. I had fluid inside the the cockpit and of course the fluid level kept dropping in the resevoir. The master is a pain because it's so hard to get to underneath the hard lines. I used a long extension and a pivoting socket.

It took a couple of tries to get it bled correctly, the pressure bleeder certainly helps but I still had to tap (ok bang) on the slave to get the bubbles out on the second try, which did the trick.
