Hmm,

I was always under the impression that the aftermarket BOVs that vent to the atmosphere actually increase spool. Is this not the case?

I was decideing to upgrade to a Tial BOV but if this is going to increase lag i will just get the updated Lindsey one.

So which is better for spool:

Stock or aftermarket ones( that vent to the atmoshpere)?

This is my take on the whole BOV/Diverter thing...

With a Blow off, it vents the pressure to the atm. You lose all of the pressure you built up prior to shifting.

Now, with a diverter it rerouts the air to the intake, reducing spoolup times.

I have also heard that when running high boost it is best to run a BOV instead of a diverter, something about screwing up the turbo or something, not sure.

^^ ROCKS

This BOV can be recurculated, sounds amazing, and is a pull style valve, So no leaking boost when you are boosting HIGH. One of the best aftermarket ones. They also sell a racing version for those who boost the hell out of there car.

Lindsey's BOV is not vented into the atmosphere, i suggest you get one.

The evolution motorsports bov is recirc as well, direct replacement. It is also a cool looking billet piece.
