Default More to the ceramic coating saga...

So I had sent all my parts to a place here in NC to be ceramic coated, only to find out that the coat they use may not hold up to over 1500 degrees. I asked them to send the package back to me, so I can send it off to have Swain coat with a higher temp coat.... but then I changed my mind, and decided to just heat wrap everything, so I wouldnt have to wait another month to get all my parts back....
the companywith my parts calls me today and said they accidently coated all my parts, and they apologized and said they wouldn't charge me for shipping or any of the coating...

so I guess I am going to use their coating afterall... if it doesnt hold up to the heat...oh well, it was free...

Well tell them if they want to accidentally coat some more steel I'm gonna coat my headers, crossover, turbine, and maybe downpipe. So I wouldn't mind trying theirs out for 40 bucks.

John,

ps, the motors doing fine. I'm trying to decide on a new turbo: K27/6, K27/8, T04e/8, 60-1HF/8, GT30, or GT30R

Great googley moogley, too many decisions. :

I'll let you know how I like the Vitesse stage 2 (T04E#8) once I get my parts back... I recieved my splitter in the mail today, so I am going to get the 968 handles, mirrors, spoiler, and splitter painted tommorow. With any luck, I will have my car up and running and looking bling by this weekend!

If you dyno it, I would love to see the graph. I want to check out people's dynos to examine when boost onset and torque curves. Also when did you get the Harley?

I am going to tune it on my own, then dyno it and tune it further asap!

So you think you got free coating?

How about this senario:

Exhaust coated inside and outside (Assuming yours is, HPC coat is inside and out). Coating is only good to 1500 deg (Cruzing at 3000 rpm, my EGT is a stable 1450 deg). Coating fails. Coating flakes off and travels thru exhaust to turbo. Coating flakes damage turbo.

I only work for flakes, you know this.

+ It hurt my feelings when you said "I'm getting my mirrors, I'm putting my car back together, etc.", I do all the work, you get all the credit. You're so insensitive sometimes. You know how I can be insecure, why do you do this to me?
