I'd like to see a picture of how the medium black caliper is mounted, to clear the bigger 911 turbo disc. There was quite a strong difference of opinion on the PP forum, about the effectiveness of doing just that.

Yes sure. The car is in semi winter mode now and it's cold out. When it warms up or the next time i have the wheels off for cleaning or for a brake job, i will take some pix for you. I was thinking of changing out the pads to something with less dust so i will snap some pictures. Not a brake expert by any means but also didn't have issues with this set up either....effectiveness wise, I don't track the car so can't comment on that particular use but street wise, even with stock rotor it was plenty. Maybe the initial bite was better ? can't really tell as it's was a long time ago so i am just used to everything now. I think the initial bite was better when it was first installed and break in...

I have the medium black that were standard on turbo s cars and what i did to improve braking was to use the 993TT or was it 964 turbo front rotors (dont remember exactly) to increase swep area for the pads. This improved braking without having to go to the big red or big black. So unless you wanted the bling factor and all out braking in track conditions, the medium black with better pads and rotors (in my case) is more than sufficient. Mine is a street car and for the occasional spirited drive, never find myself saying i need more brake. I run about 350 to the wheels on 18 wheels.
So better pads, maybe bigger rotors, and good fluid and lines.

Anyone else think 1 pound inch provides equivalent torque to 1 pound foot?

I never said it increases braking ability....it did improve feel and initial bite at least for me. I even stated that factory brakes is plenty sufficient for street use and light track duty. We are here to mod cars and using the bigger rotors from the 993TT is a mod. The OP wants to know various scenarios to help him make the decision and i provided my personal experience, nothing more.
