Question OK so I have this sway bar and..........

it's for sale. The problem that I have is the response's I have gotten from some folks. So I am posting this here for the list to tell me if I am out of line with this.

I have a new (reads "still has parts tag") 968 M030 30mm front sway bar, new M030 end bushings, new Delrin center bushings, new straps that mount the sway bar to the drop downs off the chassis and the E-clips for the ends of the bar.

I have this listed in the Rennlist classified's for $300. The bar alone retail's for $350 or so. So my question is, why are so many people crying about the price? Is it not reasonable? Is it too much? Am I stupid?

Sound reasonable to me, since everything is new.

But, they are going between 400 ~ 500 for a complete (F & R) package.

Sounds reasonable to me it is new and if that is what you want for it, just wait for the right buyer. IMHO

I paid more for mine.

Ok, so I could throw in a rear M030 bar for another $130-150.

Would that make it a better deal?

I just ordered a set of front and rear MO30 bars with the hardware for under $400. The front bar is definitely worth more then the rear though.

Just as another reference point, TonyG sold me his F & R Weltmeister fully adjustable big sways for $450, and he bought me new bushings.

$300 for new front bar seems reasonable. Maybe you would have better luck selling if you had F & R both for around $400-500.

At 285$ it would sell fast.

The 951 crowd have no pesos?

Chris,

I think the problem here is people are looking for a real "deal". For example, I just picked up the same bar with like new rubber bushings in excellent shape for $125 on e-bay. I didn't need it but for the price, why not? I don't think your price is that unreasonable but it's amazing what another $25 or $50 will do. Put it on e-bay and you may get $500 for it.

Give it to me to use for "awhile" and let me write up a really good testimonial about how great this bar is...that should get the offers rolling in!
