Turbo Tommy
Thank you a lot for all you info and I agree with you..I think one nozzle is enough..I am not sure if the kit comes with 4 mm nozzle ..I think 5mm is the smallest I have...
what do you mean I won't get the boost I am supposed to..I think I know what you mean but elaborate please..

Laust
I also thought of tapping in the nozzle at a 45 to 50 degree angle to shoot the mist down the IC to thrttle body pipe alwing it to spread out more ..using the atomization
NZ951
I'll let you know how it runns..but it's supposed to be good for the wrx's..if it helps with detonation it will be enough for me....so I can run 91 at 15 psi in CA...

What setting should I set my DME FQS or any other settings including KLR to run a more advance timing as needed?

Also the Throttle Body I got with the manifold is a 75 MM Edelbrock and the TPS is not exacly like the 951..but I am thinking of modifying it..cut the tps flanges weld on new and longer ones drill mounting holes...everything else seems to be the same...

any oppinins?

Darius,
I don't know what you mean by the question you asked me in your last post. I didn't use those words.

sorry I mean this....
" Sure, you can run all kinds of boost with no detonation, but you're not going to get the full power potential that the extra boost is supposed to give."
thank you

Where are you mounting it all exactly? What system is it? 1S?

"I have the "race pump" up to 120 psi"

More than capable of obtaining full atomization for a dual stage set up. I meerley suggested dual stage as I have seen dynos showing higher gains with dual stage systems. Much greater cooling effect allowing more boost/advance to be run and cooler charge air temps.

i.e. It is much easer to drop 80 degree air to 60 degrees then it is to drop 100 degree air to 60 degrees. With dual stage your 2nd injection point is cooling air that has had some latent heat already evaporated from it and the 1st stage also combats the heat soak of the IC, much like an IC cooler/sprayer. And you are correct in that you would run 2 smaller nozzles, 4 or 5mm as opposed the 6-7mm that is usually standard for our cars.

Laust is completly correct in the fact that direct port injection is by far the best method, but a far more labor intensive system.

The FQS setting will depend on what chips you are running.

Ok so I decided to install the injector nozzle 4 inches after the IC outlet where it cuves and I will tap is at a 80 degree angle but right at a bend to sort of shoot it straight down the pipe and allow it to spread...wil be using the .5 mm and distilled water , with methanol or rubbing alcohol
will try not to run with the Idle Stabilizer and I HOPE I will be ok..
As far as mounting the pump still has to be decided

Sounds good. Can't wait to hear the results.

I read some Mustang mag the other day, only because of this article. It had a whole expose on the Boost Cooler company. The owner has posted in here before. It was used as water/meth system mounted right before the throttle body. It was a supercharged older mustang that made a base run of 475+ hp to the wheels at 15 psi. Afterwards they were able to run 17psi with more advance and gained almost 80hp at the wheels.

what if you relocate the battery to the rear, and use that compartment for the water injection contaion and pump, keep it nice and cool there since its sealed off.

Eyal..I was actually thinking about relocating the battery to the rear but want to do it clean....what's a good kit and way.......
Todd
I think I will mount the nozzle right before the throttle body....
shooting it in the IC pipe will provide a more complete mixture but if I do it right at the begining it may displace some intake air
doing it right before the Throrrle body is a better way....
Who else here is running water injection on a 951?

I also want to ask you guy a question...was it worth it for me to get the Aquamist system for 400...over the snow performance boost cooler for anywhere from 250 to 300...I just wanted a system the has beeb around and more Research and Development...:cheeres:

Why not sell the SMT5, get the SMT6 which allows you to control water injection based on LOAD/RPM/BOOST...

Actually that and a chip reburn is next!!!..I am going to do a dyno run on purely 91 octane and send you the map..
Or better yet..I may be in your area since I might visit an ex girlfriend in Charlston NC...maybe I could come by and have you look at it..and the drag manifold..

PS anyone looking for a SMT5?
