Yes, That was my fault, I didn't bother to ask the machine shop to check the guilds, just replace the seals and clean the head.
The whole RR job took me 30 hours, 4 days. I learned a lot in the last year and half. I go to the office with grease under my finger nails, lol I'm marketing guy.
Thank you for the reply

Yes, that's an unfortunate lesson.
So you were going to sell it but now..??

Not sure, the guy that's interested was in for 35k before the sports seat and the fresh engine work and motor mounts, that's before 10k in parts this time around. Unreal, I put 45k in her in the last year and half including the price of the car. A lot of big ticket items. She drives amazing

I'm 120k in, and still need to put it together.

Latest Update:
I filled her up with Driven BR50 and fired up the engine. After warming up to normal operating temperature and checking everything, I noticed the car was showing 15 in.hg of vacuum. I then did a pretty easy 190-mile break-in, varying the RPMs with four 10-15 minute runs at low to mid RPMs, with a 10-hour cool-down in between each. After a 50-mile drive to work, an 8-hour cool-down, and another 50-mile drive back home, I kept the RPMs between 2k and 3.5k, occasionally applying some load and a lot of down hill engine breaking to cool the rings.
By then, the vacuum had increased to 17 in.hg. I'm waiting for the Driven XP4 oil ( as advised by Mike from Lindsey ) to arrive on Saturday so I can change the oil and repeat the process. After another 500 miles, I'll push it up to 4500-5000 RPM with 10 psi of boost for the next 500-1000 miles. Right now, the vacuum is down to touching 20 in.hg when I get off the throttle for a second. I'll do a compression test and leakdown at 1000 miles.
Another thing I learned was when you have the engine out like did 5000 miles ago to reseal and change all bearing. pullies and belts and water pump , ( I had the shop do that work before learned how easy it is to work on these cars) do the rings and valve guilds. even if your leakdown test shows less that 6%. In the most part it was great to get the experience. Mike and Dave from Lindsey have been great taking my calls and answering all my question and their were a lot. Thank you guys!

Here's some updates, I have now driven her 1000 miles on my third oil change, the oil plug was clean on all three times. I also installed a new Porsche factory coil and Focus 9 sport DME unit and F9 DME relay plus DME temp sensor. Also Porsche factory VDO oil pressure sending unit and oil level sending unit. I also removed to OPRV and cleaned it and installed new seals. I want her to be on her A game. I feel the difference for sure , Throttle response is a lot better!

I bought new Porsche Speedlines 3.6 wheels for my 964 turbo. My RH's 3.6 wheels are now on my 951, 18 x8 et 52 and 18x10 et 54 225 and 295 for now. they seem to clear everything, I haven't driver her yet with the wheels. I think they look great with the sports seats and wheels now. she coming long and driving great with fresh engine and with KW's V3's. I'm in love! with this car.

Hello Porsche friends,
I did a compression and leak down today, I was nervous, Not knowing what to expect and if I put the engine back together right and the break in was stressful. But So excited to share so far so good. the compression was 153 on all cylinder's and the leak down was a 1%. Hell ya!! time to add more fuel and boost. It was at 6psi boost now I turned it to 10psi boost and turned up the fuel pressure. She is very happy as am I. I'm look forward to 15 psi boost.

Thank you. The 18 inch 3.6 turbo wheels do look amazing but the ride is a little rougher now compared to the 17's. I was recommended to us Driven HR1 15w50 as I used driven oils for the break in, I do use Driven oils in my 964 turbo. I may go back to Driven oils But for now. I decided to use Valvoline 20w50 VR1 instead. Because of cost and it available at my local parts store. I only use OEM Porsche oil filters. I'm looking into using a synthetic oil in the future. so far I haven't seen any oil composition. I'll have to do some research and talk to engine builders and see what they think. Its street only car that's OEM Plus . I didn't want to go to crazy , stiff....and loud, like I said OEM Plus.
