I am looking to get a larger turbo. What I want is solid boost no later than 3500, with max power anywhere from 5000-redline. Very similar to stock boost. I am looking to push 360rwhp or so. I have all of the associated modifications, just want to get some opinions from people that are running these turbos.
When do you have full boost(High/Lo)?
What power are you putting out?
How is your torque curve(Dyno Graph would help)?
What size Compressor/Exhaust A/R's?
Thanks in advance,
Wes

I am not really interested in buying a kit. There stage 2 is just a simple T3/T04E. That kit puts out about 340rwhp at 18psi, and with that I would rather go with the Lindsey Racing 340rwhp kit. I am looking for something that flows a tad more than that.
Thanks though,
Wes

A package that is designed to work together will produce better results. IMHO

Workin on it! Cars under the knife right now to put in the Vitesse kit, LSD tranny, iceshark headlight kit, wideband, and 968 mirrors and door handles.
I did however crank up the boost for the first time with the T04B I have, and its pretty beast, so im really looking fwd to seing how this T04E pulls...

I am quite sure I know what I am talking about. I have rode in 2 Vitesse kits with the Stage 2, one with the quick spool option. One made 344rwhp at 18lbs of boost, while the other managed 350rwhp even. If you are speaking in terms of the stage 3, in that case I don't know.
As to the T04B vs. T04E, unless you upgraded to a larger compressor housing or something, that wasn't the best idea. The T04E, in which Garrett produces preceded the T04B. The T04B is the newest and best flowing in the line, only bettered by the new T04S.
EIther way, none of that was what I was refering to. I just want to know about the turbo's I listed. And if you are questioning my turbo knowledge, I built a 474rwhp BMW 325, but just sold it to build a 944. As to my other mods, I have a Haltech E6X standalone engine management, HKS 40mm wastegate, Greddy Type R BOV, Bosch 65# injectors, Linsdey Ajd. FPR, Walbro fuel pump, among many other things. I fell like I have a clue.

Wes,
I am running a 60-1HIFI (SFR 3), means you can keep the stock intake manifold. It sounds like a plane taking off but pulls very hard and spools at 3k without decent tuning. The T66 has a much better map than the 60-1HIFI and will need a lot more modification to fit, all depends on your budget and care factor. I think the T66 was the HKS turbo that costs 5K or something but branded Garrett when the agreement ran out and Garrett could produce it.

I have the stage 2 vitesse as well and if the car you rode in was only putting down 340 @ 18 psi either it was running sickly or those numbers came off of a Mustang Dyno. On a dynojet, the 2 will put you in the range you're looking for.

My mods in my sig were what was on my car when I bought it. I will update it once everything is installed.
NZ951,
The T66 was an HKS turbo in the early/mid 90's. Since then, there are quite a few manufactures. It flows better, but like you said, fitment might be an issue. I was looking at the 60-1 HIFI so I can maintain the 3" intake, but they are costly for the power. I was also looking at a full T61 from Turbonetics. I am not sure how tight of a fit your 60-1 is, but this is roughly the same size, but flows more CFM. A turbo I used on my 325, but havne't really considered was my Greddy 25G. It is in between a T66-T72 in flow, but uses a 57trim compressor wheel. On my 325 with a T3/T61, I put out 415rwhp, and then upped to the Greddy turbo and put down 442rwhp. Both were .82 exhaust A/R, .70 compressor A/R. Boost also came 700 rpms sooner than the T61.

.82 is a little too big for the exhaust A/R. The 60-1HIFI is a tight fit but just makes it. You wont go any bigger I dont think. What do you mean by maintaion the 3" intake? The inlet on the 60-1HIFI is 2.75". The 60-1HIFI has good HP potential.
