It was a 400 but that car had an absolute crap load of stuff done to it, including JME top end. Very nice ride though and done top quality.

I still have to find out what my "mystery" turbo is capable of. About the same size of k26, but has 2.75 inlet and no stamp front, but kkk stamp on hotside. I am running 18psi with GURU 18's and holds it to redline no problem. I had to wait till I got my new injectors before really running it hard. Want to get to the dyno and see if I can run 20psi safely or if the turbo runs out of steam.
Also, when you measure at what rpm you are seeing full boost, is that done in a hard accel run from gear to gear or at lower speed in 3rd/4th, then floor it and see at what rpm you have full boost at?

Anyone can pick up a T04E-60/KKK #8 stage 3 wheel brand new for about $900cdn. If you're willing to modify your flanges a bit, you can get a full T04E-60/T3 (any sized turbine) for $700cdn brand spankin' new. Both of these turbos will be able to power a 2.5L to over 450whp with the right tuning.
Having a $3k usd turbo is pretty friggin' overkill IMO, when one can get similar performance for $500-$700usd. If I remember right, TEC out of Colorado sold these turbos at around the $700usd mark (under $1k usd for sure).

Rage, go Flames BABY!! Today the destruction begins!!
I too have had conversations with Scott (Garrett Distributor/Builder) about turbos that he has built for Cervelli at Technodyne - I've mentioned this fact in previous posts. Scott told me that he couldn't understand why Cervelli ever chose a GT 25 for a 2.5L especially in the cofiguration he wanted. "It's too small... but if a customer wants a particular configuration, I am not one to question."
So, if anyone wants to pay an $8000 premium for a 951 turbo kit - more power to you, but pointing out that your $3000 turbo differs from a GT turbo that can be built (by Garrett no less) for a fraction of the cost is not accurate.
For those seeking info on building a custom GT series turbo that ISN'T "off the shelf," I've been advised of a few different configurations of the GT30R that range in the price of $1150-$1300 (jobber rate)
