Thanks Bill, perhaps I'll try the MLS gasket again but without the spray. It won't cost my anything but time.

I agree David. A solid installation procedure would be nice for these gaskets.
This reminds me of this old thread:

I always tries to look on the bright side of things and doing the headgasket once more doesn't really bother me except I feel the urge for booost
And this being my third gasket it'll be interesting to see how fast I can do it hehe..

Old thread but i'm adding my experience...

I installed the Guru metal headgasket this summer (same as MLS as far as i know) with the copper spray. After 6 months and 7000 miles, i'm currently changing back to the stock headgasket because my Guru headgasket was leaking and mixing oil and water.... i add an oil leak at the back of the motor, near the motor serial number...

Perhaps it just has to do with how far certain people push their luck.
What is the AF ratio on the white car now ? If you don't get it sorted once and for all you will blow the stock headgasket like you blew the copper one ...

Just to but in and say DUKE your a lucky B@$^&RD that car is the most beautiful 944 I'v ever seen and is currently my background pic at work! I am so insanely jelous. However if I get these problems with the metal gasket I'm having installed at the moment I'll cry! Hope you get it sorted ASAP
