Turbo water temp switch...

Turbo water temp switch...
I was looking through the archives and it appears that nobody posted a part # for a replacement sensor that would work.
I've been to several parts houses and nobody can match up the switch without a part #. What's the consensus?

I just got one from NAPA as recommended by others here:
ECHFS-158
it is a fan switch from an 85 Nissan. Perfect fit, and it switches on at a lower temp than stock to give added protection.

I have to assume it's a commonly avail. part. I can use a part # instead, and go pick it up myself from a parts store. I don't see why it's being kept a secret.
PS: I've seen several 944 turbos with a single prong, short sensor and I don't mind putting a different connector coming from the factory wiring... Trouble is nobody knows what this sensor is!

Well that's interesting considering I have a 951 part # on my temp switch...
I'm sure the dealer wants way too much for this sensor. If nothing comes of this thread, I shall keep trying local stores...

Jason, if you got a picture, I could tell you...
Eclou, if it's the same switch why is there a 951 part # on mine? When you say you compared it to your own, do you mean your switch w/the 951 part # or the napa part?
I'm basically looking for a sensor that will screw in the pipe and is the correct temperature. I wouldn't even mind something slightly higher temp, but won't go with lower. I'd like to avoid paying $50+ at the dealer, and something shorter would be great... I know I have seen this before...
