Another CA Smog Thread
Hey all,
I've looked through quite a few of the past CA Smog threads that seemed pretty insightful, but I'm afraid I'm not well versed enough to decrypt my own results from the things I've read. Hoping someone could steer me in the right direction.
Things look mostly good, but a bit over on a few. Any obvious or quick recommendations? I'll admit I didn't drive it for very long in advance of the test -- is that likely to make the difference?

Running a bit rich - how old is your oxygen sensor?
Your NOX numbers are low which means the Cat is doing its job. But you have 0.0% O2, it should be more like 0.1 or 0.2% with a more correct air-fuel ratio.
"Some folks" have had luck mixing a few gallons of E85 into a tank of gasoline to make that HC/CO number come down a bit.

What he say!
Change the O2 sensor, make sure the base mixture setting is correct too, and the ignition is up to snuff.
If the oil is old, it may have fuel contamination. Oil change if it's been a while.
You're soooooo close. Ordinarily, more problems with NOx.

zero oxygen left over from lack of CAT reaction... so all that running rich TOASTED your CAT. It still works, but is not having a reaction to reduce HC .. you need a new cat to pass, but you first need to fix your rich condition if you don't want to be changing a cat every 2 years or less...
