Eyal, i would write off the DE this weekend and do the job right. You need to replace those orings, otherwise if it leaks, you get to do this whole project over again, and replaced the expensive crush seals on the exhaust that you are now replacing. Do the job right, and it will save you in the long run.....trust me i have pulled my turbo 3 times now, due to trying to shortcut things. And finally, put it back together slowly.....make sure you do it right. Being young and in a hurry is going to bite you in the ***, trust me...i am young and in a hurry and have been bitten in the *** more than once.
