I guess it's a matter of priorities. My '89 951 is stock [for the moment] and the S2 is "upgraded" with 18" wheels, stiffer springs, shocks and 968 M030 sway bars. Driving the 951 after driving the S2 makes the 951 feel downright mushy... but it does ride a lot better!

Yeah, that's weird I found it through google. It's probably irrelevant as not even the springs are likely available at the moment. I was hunting for springs earlier this year and really had trouble finding anyone with stock.

I sent Jason a note about the "hidden link." It's fixed now and the price went up slightly to $345. It was hidden because Racer's Edge had stopped making the spring seats and now they have them again. I agree on the difficulty finding springs. I was fortunate that Racer's Edge was able to get what I wanted.

I like the advantage of mechanical grip the softer springs provide.

But please do tell heavier spring rates front and rear just for comparison.

Where'd you send your Koni's to be rebuilt?

Mike, I have Koni double adjustable M030 type front with 300 lb/in linear springs and Racer's Edge camber plates. In the rear I have stock 24 mm torsion bars with Koni 3012 coilover shocks with 265 lb/in helpers. This combination provides approximate spring rates at the wheels of 248 front; 255 rear.

These guys will cost a little bit more as they feel its important to replace more of the internal hardware then just the seals. BTW they are the source for all Koni parts that other rebuilders use.

Performance Shock
