Somebody did order a round muffler! Any reason why you chose that over the oval? (curiousity...I get called Cat as a nickname....lol)

I installed my testpipe and cat-back yesterday. I had bought the cat-back on the previous group buy. Took a little over an hour (I have a hoist). Fits great, looks great, sounds great! Another pound of boost too. Bill

I ordered round w/oval tip also...

Said to be a bit quieter than the oval. That - coupled with last years posts on
3" exhausts being a bit "loud" (some would say "musical") anyways - swayed me to the round.

I'm in the musical category myself Probably 50% of the time I drive with the stereo in the car turned off......

I don't remember seeing anything about the loudness quotient, however if I move to CA I'll have the cat on there anyway instead of running without which is supposed to make it somewhat quieter as well from what I understand. Probably run it without until just before I move though....

Excellent Bill....I don't think I could have waited as long as you did to install the catback though....I was planning on putting it on as soon as I got it even if I had to wait a bit to install the testpipe section.

I need to get my WB 02 bung welded into my testpipe as well so I can get my LM-1 into the action so I can check my AFR and watch that with the boost levels. Awesome on the extra boost.....did you have a cat on the exhaust that you switched out?

The catback is in! Looks great and sounds good... Although I wish it were a tad louder. I did decide to keep my cat on, so I can always take that off in the future which should make it louder.

Thanks again for setting this deal up turbo944!

One quick note on the 3" oval mufflers. They are slightly different then what we were using before. Not to mention they cost us almost double. The original bullets were going to take a couple of months to get so I decided to use the updated Bullet. It is entirely 304ss and in my opinion much nicer then the original Bullet.

Can anyone post a picture of what these new bullet mufflers look like? I got in on a group buy last year and got the Ractive brand oval muffler which I like a lot. It is seamless and the finish is first rate.

Here is a comparo shot to the old catback I did when installing it. You can see the tip fairly well. I'll see if I can scrounge up some better pictures of it as well...

My catback came in today as well. My thanks to Tim as the parts were extremely well packaged. I think the system looks killer and can't wait to get it put on the car.

Wow...looks killer!!!! Can't wait to hear how it sounds on my car

Mine will probably arrive today....especially since unless I stay up and do it about 10PM or so, I won't get to mess with it until Friday night or Saturday.......lol....expect me to be downstairs working on the car very late tonite....although tomorrow night that won't even be a possibility.
