Default Oh dear a very nice 968 cab for sale

I have just found a very nice red 968 cab here. Its done 80km and is as stock as they come. Its NZD40 or around USD25. I am thinking of buying it, chucking on a turbo etc, but its a tiptronic! How limiting is a tip? I am not convinced of the tiptronic style personally...

How limiting is it? It's an automatic, why bother? Anything other than a 6pd coupe, I wouldn't do it.

I see you changed your mods, do you have the powehaus IC pipe still, or new SS ones? How do you like them?

Ok, I saw one on autopoint, probably the same one... I cant imagine there are many red 968 cabs here! I am tempted George, but I have never owned a tiptronic, I dont really like the idea of no clutch to press on!

Oh, yeah saw that one, looks ok, but I want a 968 or 993... feel like a S2 would be too similar...

You know what I would KILL for? A 951 Cab like Luis de Prat's... damn that's a hot car! I'm a huge fan of coupes due to my racing influences... but who doesn't love a drive with the top down... and who doesn't love a 951?? You can't beat that combo IMHO! Someday...

True Kevin... but the only thing better would surely be a 968 cab turbo???

Good point... and very tempting.... but for some reason, the 951 Cab still appeals to me more for some reason. I think the two major points leading to that are 1) I own a 951 and more importantly 2) I actually like the styling of the 951 better... I liked Luis' car better than 968 Cabs before I owned a 951!

The factory 968 Turbo RS has to be the holy grail, however... that chassis #1 (of 4) that's selling for $100k is just so unholy

Ok Ok... enough dreaming, Kevin. How much is the cab going for NZ? And by the way I see you a lot on the boards, what is your name? Do you have AIM or AOL? my screen name is 'kev reagan' if you do... give me a shout sometime.

Name is Andrew, cab is going for USD25, Euros are much more expensive than white Japanese cookie cutouts. I dont know what AIM and AOL are... sorry. But I am betting America is involved in them some way!

Jason @ Paragon got the 968 RS #4, I believe he paid less than $40k for it, in running order. Not cheap, but not outrageous. You could make a very similar car for the street for around $25k through powerhaus.

You'd hate it, judging by the amount of mods in your sig. The cab tip is the slowest of all 968 variants, and it looks like you're a hp junkie. We do have someone turbo'ing a 968 cab on the 968 forum, but it's a 6 speed. I'm sure Fitzgerald Racing in Australia would build one if you're interested.
