That's because I've got chips specifically mapped for various MAF -sensors out there that are close to direct drop-in upgrades with no signal-massaging necessary. Then you'd only need minor +/- 2-3% adjustments here and there to optimize the configuration for your particular car. Too large of adjustments with the massagers will end up skewing the ignition look-up point in order to adjust fuel, and the skew is often in an unfavorable direction; either you retard the spark and have less than optimum power, or you advance it and hit the knock/detonation edge, which limits how much boost you can run.
