viteese stage 2 kit o2 wire?
Now when hooking up the o2 sensor wire do you go straight from the DME wire that goes to the A/F gauge or....Disconect the A/F gauge wire from DME connection and hook up to piggy back module? I hope this makes sense ...so ya right now my A/F gauge comes of DME wire. Also the red power supply wire from the MAF sensor to the circular multi pin hook up by the drivers fender under the hood. What color is the wire we need to hook up too....It tells me what pin but what color feeds the pin in question.

Ian, for the red power wire; the diagnostic port, if you start where pin C is, the one with the FLAT area in front of it, then go clockwise, the first port will give you 12V when you power up the car.
As for the O2 wire, IIRC, John likes to splice it into the signal wire inside the engine compartment, which means splitting the sheathing behind the plug, I think jwl is doing his now,,,John you online?

For the O2 signal I like to tap into the black signal wire close to the O2 sensor plug in the engine compartment.

ok doesnt really answer my question. I have my Gauge already hooked up to the wire in dme harness. I keep the gauge connected to the DME and hook into the wire going to the guage? I know what pin I need but what color wire feeds that pin?

If you already have your gauge connected. Tap into the wire that is going from DME to gauge. Your AFR gauge works as always, and the PB gets the O2 voltage from the same feed line.
I don't read the forums all of the time. It might be better to email me directly for support questions.

Ian, solder your red wire or take the guts of a butt splice, solder that and stick in the same hole as you see on the pic - the large red wire, this will power your wire. If you want to splice it in underneath, that's a whole lot of trouble.

Old thread revival!
I want to use the diagnostic port to power my MAF; but when I check the disgnostic plugs no one of them reads 12V! the max I get something like 0.5 V from some them - that's all! This is with the key on but with engine off.. does the engine have to be on to power that connection?? That'd be weird..
Any other tips on where to get power in that area of the engine bay?
